I was invited to the home of an artist named Daniel Caspar. He lives just south of Orleans in a beautiful small town. The art that Daniel makes is mostly abstract. He had achieved the highest level of training that you can receive in France. Daniel is the third generation of artists in his family (his oldest son is the fourth). His life in art is so clear when you visit his home. There is art everywhere from every generation - we needed to be careful where sat down not to crush anything. Daniel was so incredibly generous with his time and with his art. He gave us 2 paintings, a print from his father (who was a famous Alsatian painter - Charles-Marie Caspar), and a catalog of his father's work - which Daniel had written. It was an incredible day spent talking about art.
This is Daniel near his outdoor atelier/workshop.
Thank you Daniel for a wonderful visit and the inspiration to live a life in art!!
