The Rogers across the street are a couple from Paris. The house has been in the family for many generations. We met them last year and invited us in for coffee and cookies last year. They are very nice - every day they ask me if I need any bread (the bread delivery woman is on vacation). They invited me over last night for coffee. It was a great time - I made a painting of an apple for them and Mrs. Roger had made an apple gateau (however it's spelled) for us to eat. It was perfect. We sat around for a few hours talking about France and other things that were generally not to tough for me to understand. Sometimes i was completely lost in the conversation but i can tell you this: French is much much easier than Czech!
I have been painting a lot since I will soon be on vacation in Brittany and will not have the same sort of blocks of time. I do plan to paint there too but I won't be spending as much time on it.
