Squash

Here are three different paintings of the same subject. Painting the squash is really wonderful in that it allows me to tie still life painting and landscape painting together. I approach these paintings as though they are landscape paintings. The set back is to me hills in the background. I am also trying to winnow down the paintings to its essential parts. I feel that the paintings should explode into existence without telling too much. The viewer should complete the paintings.
