So it's true that I haven't been particularly good about updating my blog but it has been very good for me as an artist to just focus on my work without worrying about issues outside my studio. I have continued on the empty studio work but have started to use the paint in a different manner. I am breaking the paint down a lot more and creating veils of colors which overlap and help to create a final image. The work has been able to take from all of the projects I've been working on and I hope come together to create more compelling work.
This painting isn't finished but I think that you might get the idea. I am trying to build up the image and then break it down and then repeat the process over and over again.
