Close 2




The first drawing is my usual oil on mylar and the last one is oil on paper. I did a charcoal drawing then put shellac over it and painted over that. It's an old method and I'm doing it in a updated manner.

not seen any of the december squash production. very interesting analogy with volcano lava spills. it works.

I had something related to that in mind as i was painting these. I was imagining an aerial view of mountains as I was painting them. I hadn't thought of a volcano but I like that a lot.

I like the notion of "the viewer completing the picture" that totally works for me.

Great stuff, I like the Cherries but also very much the pumpkin. Ever tried a banana? I have some great banana shots from a market in Ecuador. Let me know if you want to take a peek.

Hi Yvonne,
In the past i had painted some bananas. I would have loved to have seen and tasted the ones in Ecuador. The concept that I'm working on is of the seasonal nature of fruits, vegetables etc. I'm currently painting satsuma tangerines. i'll be posting some soon.
