FIRST DAY ON THE NEW JOB

Ok i've said that before but this was really the first normal day at my new job. I went into my studio and tried to get it straightened out a bit for doing work. The light is great and i'm very happy to have the space set up. I am very interested in trying to do some work with the figure and plan to hire models. I am hoping to spend a great deal of time painting the figure in a more formal way. I am hoping to spend this time to develope in a way similiar to Alex Kanevsky (http://www.somepaintings.net/Alex.html) or Ann Gale (http://hackettfreedman.com/templates/artist.jsp?id=GAL). I went to Spring Street Studios for a little warm up on the figure. It has been a few years since i have done any figure drawings and i was really proud of how bad my first sketch was

but i was able to get back up to speed and ended up with a few drawings that weren't horrible.

I am trying to get settled in this new phase of my life. I don't know exactly what sort of work I will be making and am trying to figure it out as i go along.

Figure drawing at your place! I'll help offset costs...think about it.
